How does solar energy work?

What is Solar Energy?

Geothermal Energy simply uses the earth as a heat exchanger to provide heating and cooling for your home year round. Geothermal energy uses the solar energy that is stored close to the earths surface. Geothermal energy can be installed almost everywhere.

How Does Solar Work?

Outdoor air temperatures vary greatly throughout the year, however, underground temperatures remain fairly constant. This is due to the earth absorbing around 48% of the sun's solar energy. Depending on the location, the underground temperature remains between 45ºF - 70ºF four to six feet below the surface. Geothermal Energy systems use the steady temperatures to provide efficient heating and cooling energy to your home using standard air ducts or radiators.
